Jim Stephens, CR
CEO

Started remodeling in 1978 and is a skilled craftsman with a keen eye for detail & design. Stronghold Remodeling excels in fine quality craftsmanship, and creates an experience of good communication, cleanliness and a minimum of disruption. Basing Stronghold on personalized design and a turn key process has been the hallmark of Stronghold for over 25 years.



Craig Nelson
Project Manager

Craig has been in the building trade for more than twenty five years with all of his experience in the Treasure Valley. Craig is a top carpenter and true craftsman. He takes great pleasure in solving the challenges that arise from a remodeling project.



Jeff Wilcox
General Manager

Jeff studied business management at BYU and is the fearless leader of the Stronghold Team.

John Petzinger
Estimating and Scheduling

John has many years experience in residential construction having managed the construction of residential homes throughout the Treasure Valley . His practical knowledge of building processes gained from years working as a hands-on field superintendent make John a strong asset to Stronghold as Project Manager Estimator. On his free time, John can be found at his kids sporting events, in his back yard doing some landscaping, or up at Bogus skiing.



Terry Sawyer
Remodeling Consultant

After many years in various sales industries, and much experience in the landscaping and outdoor design industry, Terry Sawyer has decided to branch out into the indoor arena of remodeling. He is working hard to make “Stronghold Remodeling” a household name in the Treasure Valley. In his spare time, Terry enjoys gardening and the outdoors.



Marcy Andrew
Event Planning and Interior Design

Marcy has just relocated to Idaho from Arizona and is looking forward to cooler summers. She has spent the last 15 years doing what she loves most for work-Event planning and Interior Design. Her spare time is spent refurbishing furniture while also working to get her Bachelor's degree in Architecture.



Melissa McNeal
Interior Designer/Sales

Stronghold Remodeling and Design would like to announce that Melissa McNeal has been welcomed to their team as a Sales and Design Representative. Melissa brings with her more than 17 years in the commercial and residential home improvement industry. Her primary focus is Residential Remodeling. Her background includes Sales, Property Management and Leasing, Commercial Tenant Improvements, Custom Furniture Sales/Design, and vacation property design. She has a degree in Residential Design through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, coursework through BSU and many other sales and design related studies. She is an allied member of the Northwest Chapter of ASID.

Joan Stephens, CR
President

The first woman in Idaho to earn the Certified Remodeler (CR) credentials and past president of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

Joan brings a broad view of remodeling from across the nation to Stronghold Remodeling.



Jenn Stephens
Office Manager

After years of experience managing brothers and children, Jenn has graduated to office manager status. She works hard to keep everyone in line! In her spare time after raising 4 kids and managing 2 companies, she enjoys her roles as Certified Massage Therapist, Scentsy consultant and purveyor of fine and interesting things.



Josiah Stephens
Design and Drafting

With a Bachelor of Studio Arts degree from Whitman College, Josiah brings an incredible ability to design and draw amazing home remodels to the table. He works to identify all the constraints of the project and work inside of them. The goal is to bring your dreams to reality in a way that is functional and unique to your lifestyle and personality. In his spare time he creates art, which are occasionally available to the public for enjoyment and purchase.



Jeremy J. Andrew
Landscape Management

Jeremy is a recent transplant from Arizona by way of Michigan where he received his law degree. He will be sitting for the Idaho State Bar Exam in July 2011, and is a landscape manager on one of our estate-managed properties. A self-proclaimed workaholic, Jeremy will be managing the estate with his wife Marcy and practicing law concurrently.
